 AFPR Install Questions |

I've been planning on what my next mods were going to be for a long time now. Basically it reads, Supra fuel pump, Aeromotive AFPR, 750cc injectors, and the GM MAF to complete it. Now, I keep reading that I may have to weld some of the fittings to the fuel rail? What's up with this? Is this a safety concern or what because the stockers aren't welded in, why would I have a problem with aftermarket fittings? The girlfriend is getting ready to order the AFPR today and it'd be nice to know before she orders it this afternoon. BTW, if anyone has any other suggestions, please chime in.

the reason it tells you to weld the fitting onto the fuel rail is beacuse the the stock FPR slids in and it bolted into place. i have seen the ends of the fuel rail taped for the threading of the AN fittings and then a fuel safe thread lock was used (i think loctite makes one). i have my FP guage mounted on the top of the fuel filter. it seems to read fine... the needle bounces about 2 psi when the car is idleing. so i just set it to where it is bouncing around where i need it to.
