I am wanting a good o2 housing for the Fireball. Any good ideas would be helpfull. And I want the most air flow I can get.
Is a tubular o2 housing the best since I have a header? Let me know what you guys got. as spring is getting closer by the day. ![]() -------------------- |

QUOTE (scrapin_frame @ Dec 25 2005, 06:07 PM) nate i do know what you're saying about it not helping spool up due to the wastegate being closed.. but i read on a couple sites that the open dump will help spool up once the wastegate closes again cuz the air exiting the wastegate doesnt hit the backpressure of the exhaust. although i am sure i will have very little backpressure on my car. No offense, but that doesn't make a lick of sense. If the WG is closed you don't have to worry about the back pressure against the WG outlet because there is no air trying to flow out of the WG. Maybe if you had a link to the threads you are referencing I could understand what you're talking about a little better. Like Kicks mentioned the open dump should increase your HP some because its like running a larger exhaust when the WG opens. The backpressure doesn't increase when the WG opens like it would if the WG was rerouted back to the downpipe. |
