Does anyone have a 1G auto tranny, used or rebuilt for sale? My sisters transmission is going out of her laser again, looking for something cheap preferrably to keep the car alive just a bit longer. The car is a 1994 Laser 1.8 auto, i know its the same tranny thats in the 2.0 so either or will work. Not sure if year matters though. Thanks
jason PS this one was rebuilt about 3-4 years ago by a local tranny shop. Was never pleased with the work and feel like i was reamed on the price (2 grand) and now the same thing has happened to it again. from a stop the car would stall and not move, then with enough revs would "catch" and go. He already trashed the car and we were just keeping the engine around for donor parts for my 6-bolt build. The only reason it is there is for my benefit so if you want it I can meet you at his place. I will PM my cell# to you.
