 Driveshaft Failure? |

Anybody ever heard of the main driveshaft breaking/snapping in a 1G AWD? If so where does it break at? I took my driveshaft to the driveshaft building shop here in town and he wanted to know which components fail most often so that he could try to avoid reusing or including them in the new (2-piece instead of 3-piece) lightweight driveshaft.

The yoke is the weakest part. We were able to break drive shaft yoke on demand. We now run an upgraded transfer case which allows for a larger yoke. The first 2 sections of the driveshaft have also been replaced with an aluminum one.
