now that i have the engine out and on a stand, i was wondering what exactly i should go through without doing a total rebuild. i plan on all new belts and gaskets.
a new clutch, pulling the head off, and cleaning the hell out of it. do you recomend anything else. im kinda limited on cash cuz of that wife of mine. |

Definitely pull the rod and main caps off and check the bearings.
Did you do a compression test before you pulled it out of the car? That would give you a good indication of the ring seals. You could do a leak down test with it on the stand and get an idea too.
