Apparently it's important to replace the stock Evo 8 (not IX) fuel pump with the Walbro 255 if increasing the Evo's boost beyond stock levels (18-19 peak psi).
Al from Dynoflash will not sell you a flash if you're implementing an MBC/EBC unless you have one installed. *Shrug* Dunno all the tech details but it's being implied it helps prevent small-percentage of massive engine failures ... Just an FYI as I got raped for questioning it at EvoM since I'd not heard anything about it yet ... kazz, don't worry. evom is full of 'tards, present company excluded, of course. it is good for entertainment however.
fwiw, I don't think your comment about the FP was out of line at all. It's not nearly the problem it is on DSMs. The main reason why it's such a go-to mod on the evo is the low price and evo's seem to have even less problem with fuel overrun than dsm's due to the voltage control on the pump. -------------------- my cars breath smells like car food
