What do you do when you get to the line? I figured maybe this thread would help some of us that haven't had much experience at the strip.
Me? The first time I was there I redlighted off the line because I wasn't holding the brake on. Second time I came to the line and held the e-brake on slightly, just enough to keep the car from rolling. So, it goes like so: roll up to the light, stage, clutch-in, e-brake slightly on, bring the rev's up and wait. Now, because of this I had to simultaneously release the e-brake and let out on the clutch. This year I've got a 2-step so that makes the throttle a little easier to manage. Any secrets you can share about trying to keep the car from rolling through the lights would be beneficial. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"

I've never had to use the brake at the stip either... must not have a big enough exaust tip...
![]() I typically rev the car up and down slightly, and try to make sure my foot is coming down as the light goes green, pop the clutch and away we go! This way the revs are already climing as the clutch engages... It's been a while since I've been to the track though. -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....
