QUOTE (Black_93_GSX @ Apr 30 2006, 03:34 PM) There is a place in Bloomington that does powder coating too. I can't think of the name of the place but I think they're on south Veterans; south of Morris ave. the place you are thinking of is Associated Sand Blasting. i know alot of people that have taken their wheels and valve covers there for powdercoating. they do good work. if you are doing an odd color like the candy apple blue you may need to buy your own powdercoat (http://www.eastwoodco.com/index.jsp) you will need to buy the chrome reflective undercoat and a translucent overcoat. i think each powder is like $15. if you just want to do the valve cover in whatever color they are doing it is even cheaper because they can just throw it in with whatever they are baking. once it is powdercoated you will need to sand off the powdercoat on the lettering and polish them, you can also get a polishing kit from Eastwood. -------------------- ![]() |
