I have a 1999 mitsubishi eclipse rs and i have been looking into a JDM motor swap. I was looking into the 4g63 cyclone but im told that it wouldnt mount up right and it would be very hard to do. What would be a good turbo motor i could swap with?

No I dont have on yet, looking into getting one within the next year. I definatly decided on getting a 97-99 GSX, black with a sunroof. Thats what im gonna be watching for. Unmodded if possible. Im prob looking at about 18 grand or so for one. I would drive it basically stock for the first few years of ownership, then start modding it with a 6 bolt 4g63 motor, bigger turbo and such. Im new to the whole thing, so i got alot of learning to do on turbo cars before i do anything to it. So my question for the experts is would a manual tranny be better to have than an auto? I find it boring to drive an Auto car, manuals are more fun, but is there any advantage to either one? Im not a fan of DSM auto trannys, i have 2 cars that both had bad trannys. My rebuilt tranny isnt even right, but cant do nothing about it now.
