 Boost vs. Vacuum |

Got a quick question for y'all.
I need to rework my upper IC pipe after an engine swap. The shortblock was used but just to be gentle I wanted to give it a few miles naturally aspirated. I disconnected my internal WG to avoid building boost and threw in a straight pipe for the UICP (no BOV). Here is the question... I am running at about 8 lbs of vacuum and slowly build to around 1.5 lbs of vacuum by 3200RPMs (the highest i have ran it so far). Am I getting boost creep? Shouldn't the vacuum hold? Most importantly, am I in danger of some compressor surge since I running no BOV? I wanted to drive the car a little while I rework the UICP but I am thinking that I should hold off. Thoughts? -------------------- Fast & Furious on the outside...DSM under the hood!!!

Thanks, it makes sense that the WG would not always be the path of least resistance and the turbine would end up spinning some. Thanks again for the info
