hey all.... long time, no post... damn busy life style
anyway, I removed the LF steering knuckle from my GSX because I had to replace the wheel bearing... in the process I noticed the the backing plate (dust shield) that mounts behind the hub was rusted so bad that it barely existed... so I took it off and ordered a new one from satan... it came in and I slid it into place and pressed the hub back on thinking that the steering knuckle bolts are what pressed the shield into place.... wrong... now my shield rubs on the hub.... I am going to remove the knuckle again and try to get it in place but want to know if there is any kind of special technique or tools for that job... also want to know if there is a way to do that with-out pressing the hub back out..... thanks, Ben -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

I was accually under the understanding that the dust shield aided in venting air to the rotor to help keep it cool
I think that I picked up the shield for roughly $20 or so at my discount... I think original price is near $40 -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!
