Leon Reitman of Reitman Racing & Buschur Racing blew the previous best 14b 1/4 ET of 12.04 completely out of the water with a 11.842 @ 113.43 in the 1/4. His vehicle is a 94 Talon TSi 14b without nitrous, but I'm going to have to check and see what all he has done to go so deep into the 11's with the stock turbo!

BTW - That's .08 seconds faster than the fastest 16g time listed...Wow!

I'm not try to be a jerk, but I'm not sold on the 16g HP worth per dollar versus spending 1/3 more money for a monster turbo.

You're right. Now. But back in the day when it was either 16G or 20G, no one really had a choice. The vendors weren't producing custom turbine housing turbos mated to true garret compressors and center sections for less than $1K like they are now.

Even when I bought my 16G cartridge for 500, it was unheard of to get a large turbo for less than $1300 and even then you'd probably have to spend another 500 or more to get the thing to actually bolt on properly with the manifold and wastegates were always a concern.

I knew I'd eventually go bigger when i bought my 16G but I haven't regretted it a bit. I've waited a little over a year now and the new product offerings for DSM's are tremendous. So much so that I still can't decide what to go with. Good thing I'm happy with my 16G.
