I was out messing with the car today. I happened to put my hand over the bov and was blipping the throttle. It seemed to be sucking a small amount of air in through the vented 1g BOV. I covered it with my hand to feel the vacume. It didn't seem to be leaking air under a boost test.
This can't be right, I wouldn't think you'd want to be sucking unfilter air into the engine? How do you test a BOV? -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

QUOTE (ncgalant @ Oct 9 2006, 09:28 AM) Exactly what I was thinking but was to lazy to reply with. Crush it until it doesn't leak at idle, but not so much that it won't blow off. Agreed. Be very very careful though. It doesn't take much to increase spring pressure. I made the mistake of hitting mine with a hammer the first time. If I was doing it again, I'd probably use a C-clamp and progressively tighten it down until it didn't leak. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"
