I need to repeatly cut a bunch of 2" wide 1/8" aluminum plate in identical lengths. My original plan was to use my 14" cutoff saw. Unfortunately, I just found out an abrasive saw just melts the alumium, doesn't really cut through it.
I could use my jigsaw, but it's not that accurate. I've cut a 10" chopsaw also. I did a little searching and some people are using fine alternate tooth wood blade, but that doesn't seem too safe. So any ideas out there? -------------------- 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD "The Black Golfball" How fast can a 14B go???

I'll bet there's a blade out there to use especially for aluminum, I know they make die grinder bits for it. I think the best would be a band saw setup, but I bet you don't have one of those....
![]() I've used a plywood blade to cut aluminum siding type material before, but there are chunks that fly everywhere and it makes one hellatious noise.... -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....
