my car started makin a clingin noise.
i pounded a bunch of oil back into it ( like 3 quarts) and started it and the noise is gone. there is still a faint sound ( sounding like its comin from the bottom/left side of the motor) but i am hoping its a vibration or bad underdrive pulley. what are your thoughts? thank you in advance. |

I think you should have fixed the dipstick a long time ago. Very possibly an oil pump, main or rod bearing, or one of another mulittude of expensive parts that require regular lubrication not to break. At this point, only time will tell what damage has been done. Good luck.
