my car started makin a clingin noise.
i pounded a bunch of oil back into it ( like 3 quarts) and started it and the noise is gone. there is still a faint sound ( sounding like its comin from the bottom/left side of the motor) but i am hoping its a vibration or bad underdrive pulley. what are your thoughts? thank you in advance. |

Do an oil change right away, pull the old dipstick tube out (its not hard, only one bolt), push the old dipstick out, and reinstall the new dipstick and old tube, finish oil change.
You can't just add 3 quarts of oil and hope it settles your problem. The aged 4g63 can burn (or lose) oil just like any other engine. It's very possible you're looking at a major catastrophic failure. -------------------- "I hear he tunes the space shuttle also...and that thing is fast"
