I finished putting together my car tonight, let it idle for a while, checked for leaks, and then took it for a first drive to the gas station to get some gas for its nearly empty tank of year old plus gas. I pulled back up to the garage and let the car idle for a bit while I open the door, I heard a thunk, grinddddd and the car shutoff.
The bolt holding the intake cam sprocket backed off, letting the cam stop spinning when the cam sprocket popped off of the cam. Both intake valves in cylinder 3 appear to be bent as the valve springs are sitting lower than all of the others. -------------------- Eric Wort
