Today I am going to buy a black 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. My favorite cars are black, and I've always wanted an turbocharged AWD car. Though I think this goes back to my wanting to be unstoppable. What can I do to start off as far as performance modifications? Let's say I have $3000 to spend on STAGE 1.
1. NGK platinum spark plugs, Magnecor spark plug wires 2. fuel filter 3. K&N filter 4. Overhaul gasket kit 5. timing checked, alignment checked 6. high-flow cat and Thermal 2.5" cat-back exhaust, 4"tip 7. fuel pump 8. manual boost controller 9. boost and air/fuel meters any comments or suggestions will yield a spike of enthusiam from me. p.s. should I do anything else inside the motor while it's apart for the gasket kit? (port/polish anything?) thanks! ryan |

bpr7es spark plugs, you should be able to get all four for the price of a single platinum, right?
If you're doing the exhuast, go with a 3" o2 eliminator right off the bat I'd do arp head studs on the engine also, if you're replacing your fuel pump and filter go all out and do the stevetek fuel supply mod, it's listed under the www.vfaq.com for fuel. It will cost more, but it's the best. It would also help if you knew how crazy you were going to go with this car. Will you stop at stage 1? if you want to be unstoppable, you're going to have to go all out, and 3K to spend just on stage 1 is a great start. |
