As you know last year I found some definite traction deficiancies on the auto-x course as well as the drag strip. With the track day coming up in April and DSMCentral SCDC in May, I'd like to take lack of traction out of the equasion For a few runs this year.

There are newer/better Hoosier tires on the market now. So this means that the A3SO3's are less expensive. Back in 2003 or so I can find some good reviews. How good are they? Good enough? Anyone have any input on this?

I got a lot of good replies to this question from the CICE group. These tires are not what I need. I still need to do some searching and they gave me a couple of good leads where to start for used racing tires:

John Berget Racing Tires (jbracingtires.net)

and

Vilven Tire in Royal, IL for Toyo tires in particular

Either way it sounds like no road racing tire will be good for drag racing. I wonder where the big time DSM guys like Darryl and Sheperd get their Hoosier QuickTime Pros from?
