Ok, since I opened up the exhaust I decieded to get a new air filter for it as well.
I have narrowed it down to two; HKS Super Mega Flow air filter, and K&N F.I.P.K. Both, as far as I know, replace the air box, and retain the MAS. The K&N filter gives a 7.7 hp gain, and I dont know what the hp gain is for the HKS. SO my questions are: Has anyone used either one of these filters? Did you like them? What are the pros and cons of each? What's the hp gain for the HKS filter? Does the fact that they are "wet" filters hurt the MAS? Will either of them fit in future intake pipe upgrades? I'm hoping to order one of them on Monday, so any help as fast as possible would be great. |

the "wet" filters only hurt your maf if you are using a "hotwire" maf... something like a GM MAF...
the factory 1G MAF is a Karmen Vortex MAF and is not effected... not 100% sure on the 2G MAF you can use a K&N dry though if you are using it with a GM MAF -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!
