What is, or are your best memories of forum activities, posts, shenanigans etc?

Im going to have to think a bit on this one...

Well, after reflecting a bit I could go on and on about all the fun we have had over the years, from the cookouts, to the few cruises...

My fondest memory was the celebration of my 30'th bday.. My and my wife argued about what and where we were going to go all night, and somehow she drove. She never drives.. ever.. We settled on some place down town, and ended up at Old Chicago..

I was dumbfounded as I walked in and saw Darryl.. then more and more well wishers of the dsm community.
My first inital thought was, hey you guys having a get together without me? Then I realized, as a single tear welled up that you guys were there for me. That some how some way, some people put this together and I was OBLIVIOUS. I had not even the slightest idea of what had been put forth. Thats probably my best memory.

Followed by a close second with the old Farm Meets. Those were the best. And though things are a lot different now, we as a group still see each other more and more.

I seem to recall the yellow focus and an laser RS_t getting down.. what a pos that car was. Man, late spool, it barely could get out of its own way.. and that jalopie of an old truck that Kicks had.. Man..
That brings back some memories..

Or, how bout that time we were all by spring bay, looking for some fun runs and the statement being put forth.. "there are never any cops around here" followed up by a county sherrif cruising in not 10 seconds later.. that was funny too...

Silver Supra with custom great stuff foam filled IC... taken down by the nasty.
Heck I even thing the focus beat it...

Only to return next time with a really bad looking 944 to reclaim victor over both.


What happened to those days? Life in general? Careers? I know Im busy most days, my brain being crammed full of new and usefull information, and it does weigh heavy at times that the get-togethers are fewer and farther in between...

This forum has stood a test of time so far. Im happy to do my part to keep it going.

Oh, last one.. PUCKER FACTOR...
Natedogg and I were out in the dead of winter. Cruising in the old hudson_rocket ,herrick_rocket,spy_rocket, xian1g_rocket, Iron_goat rocket and I decided to get a little CRAZY with turning around in the middle of a unknown country road.

The passenger tires went off... the whole car followed and was sitting at a 45 degree angle... Talk about nerve racking, try as I may, I couldnt get it out.. AWD doesnt work so well when your half on the road, half in a ditch and its too steep.
AWD4kicks to the rescue with an old BRONCO II???? What ever happened to that thing? It pulled me out, without hesitation.

Man, those were the days.
