So.. I got this basket case of a Kart the other day. Repaired it, got it going... I figured with ample room, My Son would stretch its legs and see how fast it goes. Well... He did. This thing flys. Too fast in my opinion. But, he seems to be handeling it just fine. Here he is coming through turn 2 from the side straightaway.

And so it began.. Donut... after Donut...after Donut..

Those clutches can usually be repaired pretty easy, supposing it's the belt style and not the chain style. Most of the time they just get a lot of dirt/dust in them and they start sticking. Pull it apart, clean it good, and use some graphite on the slip joints in it. Ocassionally they need some new bushings. We've been using the same one on our cart for 10-15 years and still going strong.

that one's pretty much the same as our old cart, cept the 2 seat version. Looks to have some more power than we do though biggthumpup.gif
