The Motor Trend that I just got has an article in it about an HKS Evo. It's got an intake kit, bigger turbo, larger fuel injectors, "huge" intercooler, custom downpipe & new cat-back, new engine management software & boost controller, plus lightweight wheels and Yokohama AO32R 245/40ZR17 tires. It puts out 280HP at the wheels (stock is 271 at the flywheel). Of course, it costs $15K. Here's what it gets you (or what the lucky Evo owners can get with similar mods):
Stock: 0-60mph: 5.4s 1/4 mile: 14.09@94.05 Braking 60-0: 111ft Slalam: 68.9mph Skidpad: 0.88g HKS: 0-60mph: 4.5s 1/4 mile: 12.80@109.33 Braking 60-0: 105ft Slalam: 71.4mph Skidpad: 0.94g -------------------- 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX - all options except AT & leather *sold*

They've got a larger turbo (3037 I'm assuming), intercooler, and fuel management system on there and the best they can pull is a high 12!? AMS is pulling 11's on the stock 16G. Of course those stock numbers are off too. Many people are pulling mid to low 13's on the stock Evo. They must not be launching them very hard.
