 rev limiter, how do get around it?? |

i drive an 02 lancer and want to be able to get past 6500 rpms.
this limiter is cramping my driving! also i need to get around the same on a 2nd gen eclipse limiter as well. do i need a chip or do i send the computer to this company i found online that'll flash it and send it back or what?????? i am confused. |

No idea on the Lancer. Totally different animal from the DSM's unless it's an Evolution. Is your 2G a 4g63T engine? There are some chips floating around that can help you there if it is. If you don't have an e-prom unit though you might need to replace the whole ECU.
Why do you need to remove the rev limiter on them anyways? Are you so heavily modded that you are making most of your power past that point? If not you are most likely running out of your power band up that high and not accomplishing much by revving it that high. -------------------- |
