Have you pulled the distributer off recently? My laser would run like crap and it turned out that the distributer must have been off by a tooth or something, but it ended up shearing the pin in the gear and cost me some $. It could be the distributer itself, i ended up having to get a new one cause i broke mine trying to get the old one out. When i put it back in it wouldnt even run and it turned out i had it off by 1 tooth. But i wouldnt drive it like that cause you will break that pin and its a bitch to get it out. Its caused me many of motor woes cause of the damn valve lash adjusters fell out when i had to pull off the cam rail and now i just spend 195 dollars to get 8 new adjusters cause they are ticking on me. The other thing could be your ISC motor. Not sure exactly what your car seems to be doing, but if it surges on idle then that could be it too. My 2.0 eclipse did, i would watch the tach go up and down when its idling and that was what was bad on it. I dont think it will give you a code when thats gone bad, never did for me either. But those are what i think you are having prob with.
