After two months of being sidelined, the GSX is back on the streets. I was chasing down a persistent oil leak and in the process of fixing that, created huge problems with the car. But, after two head swaps and no small amount of frustration, frozen fingers, and four letter words, it runs.

For all the hassle that I've been through for the last two months, I can honestly say it was all worth it the first time I hit the gas and let it go in 2nd gear. This car is scary fast and though it always seems like there's a million things to do, it's all about enjoying it while it lasts. Guys, if your DSM runs, count yourself lucky and enjoy every moment of it. If it doesn't, then get that sumbitch fixed and start having fun with the car again.

Finally, I can park that POS evo and drive the good car.

Kris,
talking about not running DSMs, even though I have that thani problem I decided to start mine up to let it run for a bit. when I did I saw that I had a large amount of oil sprayed out on to the snow from my exhaust, so it looks like the engine is looking at a rebuild so I think I am going to try to pick up that 6 bolt you have instead of working with this 7 bolt, you still have it, right???
