Just got done with another transmission swap. Car drives, well, like it did when I got it
![]() That 180k mile tranny from Rob's parts car shifts way better than my original 98k mile tranny I kept having problems with. Its sooo nice not to be grinding third all the time now. Not to jinx it, but maybe I can actually bring it to the next meeting. -------------------- Eric Wort

So far so good! Just some minor problems to address, like why the main fan isn't coming on automatically, but works fine if you flip the A/C on. I might need to borrow the pocketlogger from Nate to verify that my engine temp sensor is working.
The variable boost is a little weird, I get about 6psi in first, 8psi in second, and 16psi by the top of third. Guess that's what I get for having a broken and disconnected boost control solenoid. I just have the pressure line hooked directly to the wastegate can. It also seems to be leaning out(slight lean pop) in third over 6,000rpm, time to hot-wire the fuel pump I guess. Could be an ignition problem though. And it would be nice if the engine quit leaking oil, since the tranny doesn't anymore. But that's just asking for too much ![]() -------------------- Eric Wort
