My clutch just started slipping at WOT yesterday in third gear or higher.
I'm thinking either I'm leaking some oil onto it, the pressure plate bolts came loose, or the Star Stage 2 just isn't a long lasting clutch(only about 4k miles on it). Strange thing is, it was fine when I left my parent's house in Quincy, but it did it once on the highway right before I got into Champaign-Urbana, I thought maybe it was a fluke. Of course, its still doing it tonight. Guess I'll have to tear into it sometime soon to find the prize inside. -------------------- Eric Wort

QUOTE (POS AWD @ Dec 30 2003, 04:15 AM) The output shaft to the transfer case has a tendancy to leak and make the clutch slip. That appears to be exactly what happened. It looks like I can replace this seal without pulling the tranny apart. Anybody have a new one of these laying around? There's plenty of material left on the clutch, probably going to clean it up and reuse it. I'm tempted to have the tranny rebuilt while I've got it out. Oh yeah, thanks for the "shop space" at KOU Motorsports Travis -------------------- Eric Wort
