ok here's senerio 1.: back when i first got the gst, one of my freinds told me to take out the honeycomb thing in the intake. so i did. ever since, the idle has been a crappy. then when i got the TB gasket replaced, the car would die every time you push in the clutch, so i adjusted the idle speed screw out a little bit and now it sometimes stays around 1100rpm, but mainly is fluctuating all the way up to around 1500rpm then it will go back down to about 8-900. it does this all the time and im wondering if i caused this and what could be done about it. it still dies every once in a while after driving on the highway. would it help if i got another honeycomb thing (uh mines now a cat toy)?
2. my transmission sucks. it doesn go into gear the majority of the time. now, sometimes i notice that with the clutch pushed in (all the way), when i let my foot off the brake the car will start moving. kinda like an automatic does. this is not good. i was thinkin maybe the clutch needed to be adjusted. i dont know if these cars have a self adjusting clutch system or not. any info on these two subjects is greatly appreciated. -------------------- 2001 Chevy Silverado ext. cab 4x4

You can remove the lower honeycomb from the MAS, but removing the upper will cause a poor idle, among other problems.
Sounds like the clutch pedal needs adjusted. Look at the VFAQ's... here. -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....
