Out in force... Options

Too bad its Valentine's Day because it is thick with domestic muscle out there. Some domestic guys must have been itching for the first decent day to stretch the legs on their American muscle. Lucky for me, the Evo was out as well

After seeing f-body after f-body and mustang after mustang while helping my dad out delivering today (in the delivery van, not the Evo), I was itching for some action myself. Just so happens on my way home I find some. '95 to '99 Mustang GT. Nothing too intimidating. Looked like he had some exhaust work done, but I didn't hear any supercharger whining or see any nitrous purging.

I did however see him take off full throttle in front of me on the bridge. Ooohhh! This guy wants to play. I took off after him and paced about 30 ft. behind him to about 110 mph. After passing some interchanges we find a good open patch on the highway for some side-to-side roll-on action. Going about 60 I drop her to third. I nod, I point forward. He nods, I hear the V8 muscle come to life and its on......




To make a long story short, I left him like he was standing still, right from the get-go. I was hoping for some good competition, and the domestic fails to produce. By the middle of 4th he was a good 10 carlengths back. I don't know if he missed a shift, started in the wrong gear, or was just that damn slow, but he got LEFT. So I hit my turn-off, roll down the window, and give him thumbs up. He flashes his headlights in response.

I was hoping for more, but hey it got the adrenaline going just the same. Its been far too long since I've had a random kill.

Haha! Yeah, I guess that is kinda disappointing. Nothing like killing someone's misplaced confidence in their car by disappearing into the horizon.
