hey im wondering if my trans problem could be the computer, so i was wondering if anybody has an extra computer i could borrow for a couple days to see, and if it thats it, i'd buy it off ya. dont know if it matters but its a 93 2.0 non turbo.

there shouldnt be anything wrong with the flywheel itself, but the torque converter behind it. Im not an auto tranny expert, but my opinion is that is the link between the engine and tranny, and if its not engaging, you wont go anywhere. Is it new or used? Its supposed to have a quart of tranny fluid in it when you put it on. The pump on your tranny may not be any good and not pumping fluid. I believe the only thing the computer controls is shift points, not the mechanical shift from park to drive or reverse. The only thing i can conclude if the tranny is still good, then its either something wrong with the torque converter or lack of fluid.
