I need some help. I'm looking into buying a new car, and 20k is my limit. Right now I’m looking at a Mazda3 s and a srt-4 (a few more than I would like to spend). I like the styling of the Mazda but i need speed. And after all the neon is well..... a neon. Is there any other cars i should be looking at? What do you think I should do? Buying a used car isn’t out of the question, but it would have to be reliable and low miles. HELP!

SRT 4 is pushing it on what I can buy I don’t have another 4k to throw in. Yep I'm going to get out of the DSM game for a while. Damn car is killing me financially, and I still have a lot to fix. I am either going to sell mine or part it out once I pick up a new car (depends on what I can get for it as a whole) It’s got 135k on the dash 6k on a rebuilt block with 95 pistons, .020 overbore, balance shafts removed, new everything( water pump, oil pump, timing tensioner, etc) 2g manifold, evo 3 16g, everything was machined by kalinas and weight balanced. 190 fuel pump, k&n filter, rebuilt tranny, and a bunch of other shit I cant think of. But the problems are ..... Runs bad (timing?) oil leak on front case gasket, exhaust leak (stock) parking brake doesn’t work, rotors are warped, 2nd gear comes and goes, and the body is a 5 out of 10. I’m sure there’s a lot of shit I cant remember right now. If anyone is interested let me know but I cant sell it till I pick up a new car. Right now I’m thinking -- 99gsx -- 2002 z28 -- or 2004 srt4. Shit knowing me I will find some way to talk myself into the gsx. But I’m taking the srt out in a few days for a drive.

Go with the GSX. The SRT is FWD. And the camaro is too front heavy. And it's probably cheaper than both of the others.

When i get a car i will post and see who wants what or as a whole. Only bad thing about the srt is the FWD. I'm not a big fan. 2G's scare me a bit when it seems like all you hear about anymore is crankwalk. I rulled out the Z28 (not really my style) so we will see. Hey rollout you got a 97 your getting rid of? Hmmm used WRX??? What are the new wrx'x going for?
