i wanna get a data logger and i'm not real sure on which one to buy? could someone that has one tell me the good and bad palms to buy? i'm looking at a palm m100 right now.

I'm sticking with my standard, don't buy an M130. The connector falls out far to easily. The M100 or M105 will be your best palms.

Whatever one you decide to go with, make sure it's a rechargable one...I have to change batteries in my m105 after every 2-3 hours of use...just my $0.02, though.
