Sounds like an intercooler pipe popped off, I'd check those first.

Take out the boost controler and hook the boost source strait to the wg actuator. That's how I'm doing mine right now. It creeps to 12lbs with just that. I'm thinking I may have to switch to a bleeder setup. I'll let you know of my success.

I think im gonna try and move the boost controller to a different location. I've got it wastegate to IC pipe. ima move it to BOV line. Work is me time is DRAGGING by. I wanna go home and pray this is whats wrong. |

THANK GOD. It was the IC pipe. I didnt even notice it before. sinking dollar signs was all I could see.
now if I could just get it to quit creeping so high. I cant even get over half throttle. Tell you guys what tho this 16g spools like everyone says. |

Double-check all your IC piping clamps to make sure they are all tight. If you are leaking boost and still spiking to 20 psi, that turbo is working much harder than it should.
What kind of boost controller are you using? Depending on the spring stiffness inside the mbc, it can take a lot of turns change the boost or like mine just a 1/4 turn for 1 psi. The closer your mbc's boost source is to the turbo, the less chance you'll have boost spikes. If your source is right at the turbo the mbc sees the turbo's output pressure almost immediately. If it is at the bov line the pressure wave has to reach the intake manifold before the mbc will see it so the turbo being the positive feedback device that it is will keep on pushing for more pressure til the mbc/wastegate actuator tells it otherwise. |

I'm using the same one that you saw. Right now it is tapped wastegate to the outlet elbow immediately after the turbo.
I have it set to as low as I can possibly set it without fear of it falling out. I have litterally 1/8 of an inch in there. I'ma check for boost leaks tonite and maybe thatll help. |

its one similar to the JoeP XZ series with the spin knob adjustment. Actually, I personally dont know the brand I bought it off travis used from the race car.....

doh. dont I feel dumb. I got the name off the boost controller and did some checking and its not technically a boost controller persay. its a air volume controller from bellofram. well, after poking around on their site and checking out the controller ie flipped it over. I saw that turning out INCREASES flow unlike a boost controller. So I turned it down WAY DOWN actually all the way down. she now sits at a happy 12 psi and creeps to about 15 at 5500 rpms. needless to say I am very pleased.
