dsmtalk thread on why they hate us newbies

here's a thread that tells why dsmtalk doesn't want you... yes, it's aggrevating, yes i hate dsmtalk becuase of this... yes, i know how to follow the forum rules... heres a big fill in the blank of my opinion...

_ _ _ _ //// _ _ _ _ _ _ _ . _ _ _ !

anyone want to buy a vowel????

it would be nice to have a place where i can feel comfortable being a stupid noob. a place where the guilt and shame for calling a gauge pod an a pillar with two holes doesn't leave me crying and cutting myself to realize the internal pain i'm in, a place where there were several other 'stupid' people like me where we could sit around and ask each other 'stupid' questions give 'stupid' answers and fight over who is 'stupider'. it would be just like 'jerry's kids' we could blow are cars up together and it would be okay, becuase we are 'stupid'. i could ask if putting a 4 inch muffler on my car would make it faster. and they'd all say yes, and they'd all drive hondas. then we'd all drink race gas to make ourselves faster, 3 out of 4 of us would die. and we would have a 'stupid' funeral, several 'stupid funerals'.

I read that thread and I am so glad that we are not like that on our forum. This is so much more relaxed and welcome to newbs that just want to learn about their car, cause everyone knows that if you own a DSM you'd better know how to work on it or know someone that does, cause it will break. sad.gif

dsmtuner.com blames the trolls too!

here's a thread for dsmtuners, they blame trolls, as did dsmtalk.. so i'll tell you what i'm going to do, and if you want to register, i recommend you doing the same. I'm going to look under every bridge i know of, and every troll i find, i'm going to beat the _ _ _ _ (buy a vowel please) out of him and take his pot of gold... oh wait that's lebrechauns... screw it, i'll beat the _ _ _ _ out of them too!

From reading the both of those sights for the past two years I'd like to point out a personal observation. DSMTalk is very well moderated and the questions tend to be answered in a clear manner. Their search is also very usefull. DSMTuners on the other hand is VERY full of noobs who like to answer questions with wrong answers. I finally gave up on DSMTuners after arguing with enough people about stupid things. Some people just don't know it when your trying to help them.

ncgalant-
I just want to clarify, that I am not genuine in my bashing on the site, and was not bashing the members/mods of dsmtalk (that's why i was going a little over the top with sarcasm-but seriously if i do find a troll....). I have no experience with dsmtuners... My true feelings for the site or as follows. I browse dsmtalks forums, but would find it much easier to search for things. Actually, being in the computer business I understand their dilemma, but from the user point of view it is very frustrating every day when i try to register becuase i would like to be able to search. I do use dsmtalk as a resource for learning becuase the people there really do know their stuff. Even in their 'stupid' newbie section you find experienced members answering the questions of stupid newbies. Sorry to have offended anyone, I'm just jealous of those who made in, while i am excluded.

midwest-
good luck.. it is my understanding that they had some sort of server problem, and have shut down their new register's for a longer period than normal while they clean it up... i hope for your sake that you can get back in easily and not fight with the trolls and idiots like me who want to post in the wrong forume, not look stuff up, and ask questions that have been asked a 1000 times already (cough vfaq).
