I'll have these parts off of my car soon (next week) and am gauging interest in them.

1st gen head. Has less than 20K on it. I contacted the guy that owned the car before me and he said that it was a fresh rebuild and that the head had been recast before it was put together. Everything in it was brand new except for the camshafts\gears but they look good. It has 1 valve that is stuck closed but everything else is in good working order and looks brand new. I'm looking to get $150 but I have no idea how much it would cost to have it machined for a new valve.

1st gen AWD tranny. It shifted fine before I broke a shift fork. Now it shifts but doesnt like to go into 2nd 4th and reverse at high RPM's. There was no grind except from 2nd to first. I'm not sure how many miles are on it, but it shifted ok. A new set of shift forks and it should be good to go. Also looking to get $150 for it.

14B turbo. I was told that it has ~40K on it and it looks to be in good condition. The exhaust side has been ported out to match an EVO III O2 housing and it has recieved an enlarged wastegate flapper. There is no shaft play or wobble. The only problem is that when the previous owner was installing it he stripped out the threads for the oil return line. Looking to get $100 for this one. Its been a great turbo, but its time to go bigger while I've got the car apart.

I can get pictures upon request of any of the parts. All prices are OBO so shoot me an offer. No lowballs *coughspycough* I also may be open to interesting trades for parts for a 1st gen AWD.

Interested

As soon as the head gasket gets here the new head will be going on and the tranny will be coming out. Unfortunately the motor is being held up partly by a jack as I have the drivers side motor mout out or I would jack the car up high enough and pull the tranny right now. I'll let you know when its out for sure though.

Contact Mitsu 77. I know for sure he's got a motor, trans, and stock turbo all in perfect running condition that came out of a car he flipped. I'm not sure on the availability due to upcoming projects but it's worth a shot.

Oh. OK. LOL! I've got a new head and tranny and a new turbo on the way. Thanks though! I'm thinking that I may need the tranny eventually and that I would be a fool to get rid of it and not just put stele shift forks in it for when I blow the one that going in up but we'll see what I decide when the time comes. I'll probably just sell it.

The turbo will physically bolt up, but he'll probably notice some spool up problems with a regular o2 housing on it. Basically you'd be running the exhaust into a "wall" as it tried to escape from the exhaust housing into a stock o2. He'd probably be better off with a stock turbo, or he could always get an EVO III or tubular o2 housing!!

If I were him ide go with a bigger O2 housing as Rob stated if hes into performance. This turbo really spools quickly with my EVO III O2 housing. But if he is just looking for a good replacement to get by, he could put on the old exhaust housing if its still good and resell the upgraded one.

I am moving away from my big 16g, it has no shaft play. IT will come with a stock 6cm exhaust housing, $375. It will use the original oil lines.

Now you tell me! I just bought an EVO III 16G. But I guess it is Brand new and comes with the gaskets for $550 shipped.

Forgot to mention some parts I might be interested in for trades.

SAFC or SAFC II
550CC or bigger injectors.
2nd gen exhaust manifold
2nd gen throttle body
UIC pipe for 1st gen AWD

Other various performance\upgrade parts.

Bought it off of DSMtrader from a guy who blew his car up while the turbo and gaskets were their way to his house. He sold the car and the turbo\gaskets have been sitting BNIB for about a month so he just wanted to get rid of them. Its even the proper gasket to fit right up to my ported EVO III O2 housing. biggrin.gif

Lets see if this works. The head comes all assembled and includes valves\springs\retainers etc, camshafts, and camgears.

Turbo is a bit dirty, but looks good. There is the usual crack along the bottom the exhaust housing but it held 16 PSI just fine. Doesnt include a wastegate actuator, nor the oil\water lines or the O2 housing that are in the photo.

Well apparently [IMG] tags are not allowed. Follow the links for pics.

That is EXACTLY what mine is doing. I sent a sound clip to Todd AKA Super16G and he said deff valvetrain issues. That is why I got the new head. I havnt taken the old one off yet, but It seems to me that a valve is stuck shut. I got awesome compression across the boards. If you figure it out soon let me know what you come up with!
