BTW, what happend the other day Nate? How did you run on the 28th? Did that get canceled too? Hopefully I can get my car in track shape in time. I was totally unprepared last weekend.

I took the Talon on Friday and had some bad luck with some experimental spark plugs, misfiring all the way down the track. I was trying BR7ES's instead of my tried and true BPR7ES's which I unfortunately forgot to bring with me to swap back in. Apparently my combustion chamber doesn't like the non-projected tip at least on 100 octane anyway. Rest assured I'll be there on the 13th though, with a healthy ignition system. biggthumpup.gif

I think I read on DSMTalk that you want to run a bigger gap on those plugs. .30-.32

Hmm. That makes sense. Since the tip isn't projected as far into the combustion chamber a larger gap would be required to expose more of the spark to the mixture. I'd just worry about spark blowout at that large of a gap since I still use the stock ignition system and run 26 psi. I guess there's only one way to find out though. Thanks for the info. smile.gif

actually that's van's exact setup. Here's the thread

Hmm...according to that thread Van has the BR7ES's gapped at .028. That's where mine is gapped at and I'm running similar boost levels. I'm just not having the luck with them that he is. I never had a problem with the BPR7ES's though, so I probably just switch back to them for the time being. Just thought I'd experiment a little with the BR7ES's.

not gonna make it even if the car is layin down 8's now..... (sorry a "little" exageration) un-reschedulable family plans screw up my weekend.....

still even... I hope to get my trani back from slo-pny and my turbo from my special supplier and my header from winners-circle, A.S.A.P., so I can get her back together.
