Well, got the downpipe on today along with the 550's.. seems to run good, I used RRE's sample AFC settings for 17 psi, despite not having a fmic.. This, because i have yet to be able to tune the beast.
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/newafcsetting.htm

First off, the good news, she sounds PISSED! I mean this is a serious change over just the catback and stock turbo, deeper and badder then ever!

Second, the bad news..
1. There's some major dying off happening at about 5k in every gear, its as though the car is going to take off from the ground and then all of a sudden falls on its face, my thought was that it was a vaccum leak but iv checked everywhere and the car was running fine before i put the dp and injectors in, then possibly its an exhaust leak? Could be likely, seeing as the gasket between the dp and o2 housing was shit when i put it back on, but im not sure that would cause this affect? would it? The only other thing i could think it would be is the computer detecting way to much knock and just cutting fuel or somthing? That damn datalogger is next on the freaking list.
2. Like i stated earlier, I ran a line from the wastegate directly to the turbo to maintain minimum boost levels while the car is untuned and without an upgrade i/c... well somehow I'm running 16 psi in 4th now. I was running only 12 earlier but it would spike too 15. Now it goes straight to 16 and drops steadily until it starts f'ing up, maybe thats the stock boost level on the super16, i have no clue.. ill have to look into that.

Anyways, any thoughts on whats up with the car just falling on its face would be much appreciated, i wanna get this bitch moving!

255 walbro will pump about 60 psi at idle......39 is good.

with a adjustable FPR. you are able to set it at 39 again which makes tuning a bit more easier.

It doesnt say anything about an fpr in those AFC settings, but i know it wouldnt hurt. I'm still not sure what the problem is: fuel, vacuum, leak, whatever.. but the problem only occurs near 5k and up, so idle doesnt seem to be a problem to me

your 255 pump over runs the stock FPR the whole time its dumping fuel in. you always have more fuel than is suppose to be in there. not just idle.

Ok, it deffinitly has to do with running to much fuel. I just put the stock injectors back in and the car runs fine... Now if only i could tune these 550's when they're in..

At full throttle on the 450s I'm obviously not getting enough fuel correct? Even though i have the AFC turned way up at higher rpms, 450's can only flow so much. To the naked eye, the car seems to be running just fine, but its deffinitly rich at idle, (i can smell a hint of gas in the exhaust), and lord knows how lean at WOT

Your flying blind here bud. Definately find something to log with. We've got so many options on these cars it's a shame to see this for lack of a $40 cable.

Also, on running lean with the 450's, how much boost are you running? With just that 16G and having a big fuel pump, you can push those 450's for quite awhile really. Again, a logger will tell the tale there with injector duty cycle.

I agree with Travis. Go with the 450's until you have a logger and an afpr. Then you should be able to tune the 550's in perfectly.

Apprectiate it guys, 450s are back in and the car is running fine, actually it was igniting yesterday at about 6k rpms since i had the AFC turned up... I cant believe it was running rich.. so i just put all the afc setting back at 0

good call there. Leave it at 0 with your stock injectors in until you have some way to see what's going on. I tuned mine by O2s back in the day. I'm just lucky I didn't blow anything up.

Also I'd like to welcome you to the freeflowing exhaust club. Boost creap comes with the territory.
