So tonight I drove to Pontiac to pick up mark95turbo...and as soon as I rolled into Pontiac, the clutch started feeling a little strange. Idle was lower than usual with the clutch depressed, it felt lighter than it should.
I pick up Mark, and we start to leave...I depress the clutch in 2nd, and the car dies. While moving. On an onramp. So I start it up again, it makes a wierd squeaking noise, then after high revving it starts to go again. Car is now doing this all the time. When going up to a stop, when I depress the clutch to put the car into 1st, it dies. Then I start it, give it alot of gas, and take off. And it still feels wierd, not as much pressure as it should have, going into every other gear. And suggestions as to wear I should look when attempting to fix this problem? Mark and I are flabbergasted. |

I know that this doesn't solve your problem, but my car does something similar. Every time i push in the break it dies. You know to just pop the clutch to roll start it right? beats dying and re-starting with the key.

me and Zach (Paco from CII) just rolled around in it for a while and he thinks its the throw out bearing. Sound right to you guys?

It's very possible. I'll retract my slave cylinder guess and vote for throwout bearing. Did you replace it when you put the clutch in?

yeah I believe one came with the kit I bought, but it seems as if it mighta pooped on me.

Was it a non-Mitsu TOB? If so, then make sure you replace it with a Mitsu one. Those are the only ones that last.

My car did that when they installed the ACT 2600 and they found out it was the throwout bearing was bad on a new cluth kit.
