I was day dreaming a little while at work today and thought "what if i built a track car" "what would it be like??"
then visions of a '91 DSM came to my mind. track cars don't need rear seats, headlights, liscense brackets or stock seat belts... the visioned '91 DSM was unique that the pop up sockets were still functionally moving up and down but the headlights were now being used as scoops to feed the twin evo III 16 G's... a custom ceramic coated header lead into the turbo's and the twin supra side mounts were mounted so far forward of the radiator that part of the bumper cover had to be cut away... inside the car was a pair of sparco racing seats and a full cage, a shifter, and a custom sheetmetal dash board with just a tach, oil press, fuel press, boost, and air/fuel ratio guages implanted... a set of sparco 5 point harnesses accompanied the seats. the wheels looked as "plain-jane" as possable, being stock GSX wheels painted black. the exhaust exited at the drivers side in a nascar style side pipe with obviously no cat or muffler and in the hatch sat twin massive bottles of "NAWS" then I woke up and realized that the project was only a figment of my imagination, but could it be built???? -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!

The twin turbos is unlikely, but not impossible. Lots and lots of custom fabricating and you'll probly want something bigger than Supra sidemounts cooling the air charge. You forgot alcohol or water injection as well.

got much love for those 90-91 pop up lights!
so, are you going to add all of that to your mutant x task list??? what's the point of water or alcohol injection if you are running nos? -------------------- game over.

QUOTE (xian 1g @ Jul 13 2004, 04:50 PM) got much love for those 90-91 pop up lights! so, are you going to add all of that to your mutant x task list??? what's the point of water or alcohol injection if you are running nos? well, the project mutant is a '93 so the pop up air scoops are unlikely... plus it is a street piece that i want for "pimp value" along with kick-ass fast... i am not sure what the water/alcohol injection would benefit with nos.... unless it was sprayed just before the intercooler or on the intercooler plus guys, remember it was just a dream so i am sure i missed a lot of details that i would probably do to a real car, maybe after the mutant is done, i can start work on a track dedicated car -------------------- You CAN sleep in your car, but your CAN NOT race your house!!!
