I now have TWO dead DSMs.

Laser...well, the throw out bearing was on its way out. Had to drive it to court today for a pre-trial, because nobody wanted to take me. Gave its last hoorah in the parking garage, had to pay $50 to get it towed back here. GRRRRRRRRR! dry.gif I hope trying to get it started again just to limp it home didn't ruin the clutch too, because it sounds BAD right now.

1.8 I believe has a dead clutch. Just bounces off the gears unless I slideshift, and as soon as I let go off the clutch, it won't rev AT ALL. No matter how much gas I give it, it just sits at nuetral. Is this a clutch problem? I am thinking it is, since it needed replaced anyways.

God I am not looking forward to dropping TWO trannies.

you read into my scarcasm, that really does suck, Im was in the same boat when my daily driver was a dsm and my race car was a dsm. Diversify. Buy a toyota!

i've been in this boat before only, my race car was my daily driver.... thus when it broke I had to buy a chevy

My 1.8 Eclipse is a reliable car, never had a problem with it before. Clutch just decided to FINALLY shit at exactly the wrong time.

Yeah, my daily driver is my speed demon, too. I just can't wait for something to go "snap!" on my way to work one of these days. At least the wife has a reliable Honda for a backup.
