4.2 is very respectable. I would kill for a 2.0 60' time. I would kill to have my car in one piece again. Not really. But I miss it. Alas, it will be reborn, better, able to run faster and jump higher. Maybe the rebuild and some 10 inch slicks would get me to 4.2. Probably not.

QUOTE That's good. After being in some of those close calls with you I think it's a good thing for your safety and others. This statement would seem to conflict with quite a few others you've made so far about racing on the street. The only way I can make sense of this along with your previous comments is to deduce that you think its a good idea for me to stop street racing for safety reasons, but not for you. Are you the world's first safe street racer? QUOTE I have no idea why this thing with inocent bystanders keeps coming up though. If for some crazy freakin reason some bum should walk out beside a car I'm driving at 1AM in the middle of nowhere then there will be more questions than we can even fathom. No one want's to kill anyone by accident...it makes no sense as part of the argument. The innocent bystander or spectator is just an example of one of the free radicals that can make a disaster out of any street race. That's why it makes sense as part of the argument. I can think of two separate occasions where you did have spectators on the side of the road as you were racing by. A race against Chuck in his old Mustang and against Jason in his old rx7. I'm not bringing this up for the purposes of admonishment, more for the fact that you seem to believe that you've never had any spectators watching from the side of the road and thats just not true because I was there. QUOTE Anyone that can spend all that money and have all that potential at their right foot, and still shy away from races is a better man than I. I can't let a good, fast car I own go to waste. I don't really feel that I'm letting my car go to waste. I don't feel that I have to go out every other weekend and prove myself to other people by racing on the street just to justify to myself that my car isn't going to waste. I can just as easily enjoy it for other reasons. I love driving it, I love working on it, and I love tuning it. I drive it hard every chance I get as long as I feel I'm in a safe environment. Hell, I still race it, but again I have to feel I'm in a safe environment and races setup in one of the two p-towns just isn't it. QUOTE Anyone can come take a ride with me and I'll show you the far side of the sanity limit and bring you back in one piece except for the turd you'll shat into your seat for comfort.... and beyond popular belief no one will even know when it happened. While I'm 75% sure you're being facetious here, I have to mention that no one can make that guarantee. Nobody's a perfect driver. It just takes one mechanical malfunction or one mistake and the fun is over. But, hey, that risk is up to you and your passenger. As I've tried to make clear in my previous posts, I still enjoy the occasional random street scuffle or even an all out race in a safe place. So I'm still all about going out and having fun with you guys, I just don't want anyone to get hurt. |

#1 I am the worlds first safe and best street racer. (Compared to you smucks)
#2 There were only people in cars when I raced Chuck. And I don't count people behind the starting line or on a hill 30 ft. off the side of the road and 20 ft. up a hill with a camera to be anywhere I'm going. A bit different than getting in a race with tens of wite trash hands hanging over the road with 110 cameras to get the closest view of their favorite RICECAR hero. #3 Never said you had to prove anything only that your car is now wasted like your date the first time you got laid. #4 I can still win the race on three cylinders, with my spare tire flat and one of my head lights out! I can handle it!!! The WHOLE thread is fecetious you dweeb!!! BTW - Thanks for showing me how to spell fecetious. -------------------- In Loving memory of David T Crebo

#1. HA!
#2. Still innocent bystanders at the finish line whether they were in a car or not, they can still get hit. Kinda like innocent bystanders at a stop light, when the brakes go out on a car moving over 100 mph. Oh well, either of our determinations of what's safe and what's not, though different, are probably both equally stupid. #3. Couldn't really make heads or tails of this one. Sounds curiously like an Image statement. #4. Sounds like you've fooled yourself into a false sense of security. #5. I know it. BTW: You still didn't spell fAcetious right. I believe fEcetious (originating from the root word feces) is what you are after you have shat your pants in the passenger seat of any form of motorcoach driven by the all-powerful Kicks. I finally understand why your a 'seat-sniffer' as Spy describes it. |
