I work with this guy who owns a vette and was dogging imports the other day, and I said something to the affect that some of those imports are pretty damn fast. he replied that he would race anyone with an import that wanted to and he had nothing to be afraid of. sound like this guy need to make a trip to cordova and get a DSM beat down.

I'll take him on. I'm wanting to go to the track anyways. See if he wants to race for entry fee at the track, gas (there and back), and dinner for the winner on the way home. I guess his consolation is that gas on my 4 banger is a hell of a lot cheaper than on his v8.

I will let him know he has 2 takers so far, I wonder if he will still be sooo willing to run against an import or if he will come up with a reason not to.

If he isn't deep in the 12's he might just want to stay home. I'll play too.

talked to him today and he said it was a 85 vette asked what type and he said whatever they made in 85. he also said he will not drive to a track that's what roads are for. I told him some of you can rum 12's and he seemed a little nervous unsure.gif and he asked if that was in the 1/8 mile rolleyes.gif you guy pick a spot and time and I will see if he still wants to run. if he dose I am not sure how many he will run in one night so you might have to draw straws tongue.gif

An 85!? I'll run an 85 in my Honda. Please try to educate this guy. He has NO IDEA what he is saying. The TPI didn't even come out until 86, and they were mid 14 sec cars. The 85s might be in the low 15s. I'm sure they ran OK when new, but his overweight Camaro is now 20 model years old. No contest. Tell him to go find Saturns and Sentras, but to be careful, because an SE-R might beat him. I can't stand small-minded people. A stock awd would smoke him.

I ran and beat a chick in a '93 Vette when my car was mostly stock except for a boost controller and the other few goodies that were on it from the days that Spy owned it.

Didn't we see a mostly stock early C4 at that dyno day put down a whopping 170 some horsepower to the rear wheels?

I was thinking this to. he is so sure he will not loose to an import but his reply when I asked what type of vet it was LT1? LS1? Z06? all he said was what ever they built in 85. seem like he would knopw more about his car unless he is hiding something dry.gif
