Well I was out last night on a cruise and ended up talking to this guy in a mustang. I'm guessing it was a 96-00 range GT(4.6 badging). He said he was running a 347(302 stroked) with a 75mm throttle body and a bigger mas air sensor. I figured what the hell, I'll race him. The whole time I was thinking he would take me by a car or two.

So we line up and I tell him to honk 3 times as mine doesn't work. I'm holding her at 3000 and the 3 honks go. My quality FWD launch against his crap RWD launch put him 1/2 car in the lead by the top of first. I couldn't keep traction in 2nd so we stayed about the same. Flabergasted by the fact that I was running with him I slid the beast into 3rd, my money gear. Half way firm traction threw me ahead of him like he was sitting still. As I shifted into fourth I had more than enough room to pull in front of him and call the race mine.

It was a beautiful night. I'll have to do it again sometime.
