HUGE thanks to Forcus for coming over to B-N tonight, bringing tools, and getting the job done. We got the tranny out about a half hour ago in the fading light, and its currently sitting in my driveway.

Now for the bad part.....the throw out bearing was just the beginning of my toils. The entire assembly needs replaced. All the teeth on the pressure plate are either broken or bent, and the disk is pretty worn...

So basically, if anyone has a clutch assembly for a 90 FWD (don't know if the 90 BS matters with the clutch) I need one ASAP. Kinda want one in decent shape if possible. I already have a TOB and alignment tool (from the 1.8, they seem to be the same) so I just need the plate and disk. Will pay cash.

Also wouldn't mind picking up a short halfshaft if anyone has one in decent shape. Mine is pretty much thrashed.

Congrats Nick! I'm glad you got it out. Sorry for cancelling on you. Good luck on reinstallation. Hopefully, my back will be healed up by then and I can help.

DUDE!!! Ladies for a pit crew, I love it! Eeeeewwwww on the clutch tho. Wonder what caused it to suddenly self destruct? Make sure you get some kind of clutch alignment tool tho or someone who's been aligning clutches for awhile. Otherwise this new one will end up looking like that one does.

BTW: Let me know when the ladies are going to be helping you next time...I'll definitely have to stop by biggthumpup.gif

lol can't be setting up races quite yet, my DL still hasn't returned to my pocket. Racing on a ticket= bad idea. If you wanna take this to PMs though be my guest ph34r.gif biggthumpup.gif cool.gif

got some replacement parts today, thanks to KOUMotorsports. Great prices and friendly service!

So hopefully she will be getting put together as soon as possible. Only problem I am having right now is that fact that the damn throw out bearing is siezed as hell on the tranny. Won't budge. I think I need a pully puller. Hrm ph34r.gif

Try using a long arm puller from Autozone. Should be able to rent one for free (pay for it, get your money back when ya return it).
