Alright. From what I have gathered from this site, the 6 bolt is the preferred engine, right? Now do all these come from the first gens? There isn't a JDM equivelent, right? So sooner or later are all the 2nd gen guys going to be searching high and low for covetted 6 bolts? I don't know how many were produced, but it seems like it could become an issue. Are there any other good engines to swap into DSMs?

The 6 bolt motor was offered in the 90-mid 92 car. the first gen ended in 93. so from roughly 92.5-whenever they stopped making 2g's had 7 bolts. There is a JDM equivalent its a cyclone motor. essentially the same motor besides the intake manifold.

It could become an issue. But, not around IL. LOL.

right around the sime time period that justin is talking about, 92.5, engines went from a 6 bolt to a 7 bolt, and the rearend's went from a weaker 3 bolt to a stronger 4 bolt... if you are making power, you want the 4 bolt... the coveted 6 botlt engine 4 bolt rear end is the proper platform for a dsm with dreams of real power.

3 bolt rearends break easier

eric wort really knows the dates and has better info than me. more accurate, i'm full of lies and mis-iformation.

I like how everyone uses the 'filtering' process as much as possible. It's funny.

YOu look kind of like an ugly bag of mostly water, even though you may not feel like an ugly bag of mostly water, you are a ugly bag of mostly water.

I politely asked the Mod. why he insisted on using t.r.o.y. as a filter for ugly bag of mostly water, and he denied it! That's what nerdly little geeks do....generate their own amusement, usually through computers, magic cards, and daddy's stash of smut.

Don't feel offended if this accurately describes you....after all you are just a ugly bag of mostly water.

....yeah, right around , somewhere in the neighborhood of, approx. , exactly in August of 1992.
