Its a balance shaft eliminator kit. It eliminates the balance shafts in the motor by replacing them with a closed bearing and a small shaft. Thus loosing all that nosense weight in the motor and increasing oil to other parts of the engine.

lol... i wish... no more bullshiot.... i'll take ten please... also gives a free'er reving motor, you lose 6-8lbs of rotating mass, also is a healthy thing to do for the possibility of prolonging engine life....

I might be asking the most retarded question ever, but is the kit universal for all 4G63's or different for 7 bolt and 6 bolt.... also, will it be able to be used in the 4G64?????

Well, the components are all genuine Mitsu parts so I wouldn't anticipate a problem.

Or maybe, "the parts are genuine Mitsu so I wouldn't anticipate problems beyond what we've all grown to expect." tongue.gif

If any of you are wondering...the balance shafts are used to balance the motor and counteract any unwanted engine vibrations that Joe P. Schmo the "I drive it to work and that's it" guy may not like. Honestly, I don't notice the slightest difference between the old motor with shafts and the new one without. The 4g63's rotating assembly is so well balanced you really won't that big of a difference. However, your engine will. 6lbs of freed rotating mass is like hitting the jackpot. Your car will rev much faster afterwards. It has a similar effect as if you put a lightweight crank pulley or lightweight flywheel on. Basically, trying to eliminate as much rotating assembly weight as possible.

Actually, it has nothing to do with "balancing the motor". It takes out unwanted drivetrain vibrations. 4 cyl are known to have more unwanted vibrations than a v6 or v8.

I'm sorry if I implied that it was for "balancing the motor". I assure you it was purely unintentional. Thanks for the correction! biggthumpup.gif
