Anyone want to buy a stock 96 GST 146K. Was running great, just needs transmission. Turbo pulls strong, car is clean. |

I do believe there was a seperate thread about this. On the 2G cars, the front motor mount is on the transmission. Thus, it makes a 2G trans necessary for the swap.

What is a fair price for this car? I've never bought or sold a car that had no transmission... car is bone stock, good condition, motor is solid, 31mpg on highway, good paint, small dent near gas side door, 7" tv in dash with dvd/mp3/vcd player in glove compartment, good interior, good clutch, timing belt replaced 20K ago, no leaks, just needs transmission...
If price is too low, just going to get the tranny somewhere... |

anyone interested? sale will include free installation of transmission from mid-state transmission. (costs me about $350-400 out of pocket) Nice car, as long as you have a tranny laying around. |

Its red with grey at the bottom portion. Grey cloth interior. I don't have any pics and can't take any cause its at the shop right now. Still have the stock stereo (infinity) with the 5 disc changer in the trunk. Paint still glossy, just a dent at the gas tank door area...
just wanted to add that the motorized antenna has broken off. Also recently added keyless entry about a month ago from mobile audio in normal costed me $100... |

Tiny bit of rust (1/2 inch) on that small dent described above thats all.
And yes, its a 5-speed. Title in-hand and ready to sell this soon-to-be beast. If you are in the Blm/Normal area, I'd could easily show you the car at the transmission shop on Monday. Call me at 309-310-1193 - david |

Well, my cousin wants the monitor and dvd player now.... so that will not be a part of this deal...I will put the stock infinity tape/cd player back in... 5 disc changer still in the trunk will be reconnected.

The tranny will be replaced at the time of sale right? So anotherwords the car will be sold in good running order?

To Mark95Turbo - the car is for sale cause it needs a transmission.
Will be sold without one, I will pay for the cost of putting it in at mid-state transmission where they have already pulled the tranny there. |
