 Timing cover question |

Does anyone with experience on the non-turbos know if there are any differences between the turbo and non-turbo timing covers? I know there are differences between the 6-bolt and 7-bolt covers, but how about from turbo to non-turbo?
Any help is appreciated. TIA! -------------------- The fastest car I own is a minivan....

no difference at all. just 6/7 bolt diff.

Thanks guys, confirmed my suspisions.
Dstock22- probablly don't really NEED it, but it protects your timing belt, so personally, I wouldn't run without one.

guess ill put one on it when I can get one that isnt cracked at the front bolt, id rather run without one at the moment than one that might hit againt my belt/timing gears

Most all dedicated drag race cars run without, but that's for easy access to vital components when doing a quick repair in the pits. They can afford to run without because of the drastic reduction in debris on the track versus the streets. I personally wouldn't run without one for very long on a daily driven street car.

run one. I learned the hard why when my crank pulley spun apart. I was a big mess with many bent valves. Avoid the possible headache!

I ran without one for a few months, then I wised up and ganked one off a parts car before something bad happened.
