I get about 20-22 on my TSi. For that O2 sensor, before you try to yank it, I've found it helpful to go run the car for a bit to heat up the O2 housing.
If there's enough room for the tool and your hands without getting burned, that usually makes it a bit easier to take out. -------------------- QUOTE (gsxracer80 @ Oct 31 2006, 12:41 AM)

Ok, so I'm still new when it comes to these cars. Where is this damn o2 sensor, how excatly will I know if its bad, any other tricks/tools I need to know on how to get 'r out?
This 12mpg thing has got to stop, even on the highway its that bad, if I'm luck I'll get 13 or so..... HORRIBLE, and this is starting to kill my pocket money, grrr. -------------------- ![]() |

The o2 sensor is _gasp_ on the o2 sensor housing.

You can't tell by looking at it. If you had a datalogger you would notice your fuel trims all maxed in the + direction. If you have over 100k on the car it needs replaced anyway, just do it.
